DATE : 14 MARCH, 2017 P.C. :

The Petitioner is aggrieved by order dated 19.05.2016 passed under section 8 of the Maharashtra Protection of Interest of Depositors (In Financial Establishments) Act, 1999. The learned APP points out that section 11 of the said Act would enable the Petitioner to prefer an appeal within 60 days from the date of the order.

spb/ 40wp1993-16.odt Considering the above, this writ petition is disposed of with liberty to the petitioner to prefer an appeal under section 11 of the Act. Needless to state that since this petition was filed on the 17th day of the passing of the impugned order, time spent by the petitioner in this petition would be a ground for condonation of delay, if any, while entertaining the appeal.
