By the above Writ Petition, the Petitioner seeks the following reliefs : (a) The Hon'ble High Court may please to pass order to restore electricity connection of MSEDCL consumer No.160260051196. (b) The Hon'ble High Court may please to stay on further disconnection of electricity of said consumer number till the disposal or final order of this Petition.
(c) The Hon'ble High Court may direct online payment portals to accept tower amounts than outstanding bill amounts of electricity bills. (d) The Hon'ble High Court may impose appropriate cost/compensation to this Petitioner for electricity disconnection without following law due procedure.

The Petitioner is appearing in person. Admittedly, the Petitioner is disputing the bill amounts on the ground that he is over charged, by Respondent Nos.1 and 2. However, no relief is sought in the Writ Petition qua the disputed bills. 3.
The Petitioner is informed that an efÏcacious alternate remedy is available to him under the Maharashtra Electricity Act, 2003 i.e. to approach the Internal Grievance Redressal Committee (IGRC) with his complaint, and that he may pursue the same.

The Petitioner is also informed that he may deposit the outstanding amount of Rs.31,400/- under protest and without prejudice to his right to file a complaint before the IGRC. In the event of the Petitioner depositing the said amount with the Respondents, the electricity to the Petitioner's shop shall be restored by the Respondents within 24 hours from such deposit. 5.
