Heard the learned counsel appearing for the Appellant / Applicant and the learned additional public prosecutor for the State of Maharashtra.

The applicant and the victim are present. The original complainant was the husband of the victim. He is also present. Both the husband and wife have filed affidavits, declaring that they have resolved the issue / dispute out side the court amicably. The prayer is made for compounding the offence.

spb/ 901revn289-2006.sxw The prayer is granted. Offence punishable under section 338 of the Indian Penal Code stands compound. The applicant stands acquitted of the said offence. The bail bond of the applicant, if any, shall stand cancelled. Fine, if any, paid by him shall be refunded to the applicant.

The affidavits filed by the victim and the complainant shall be taken on record and shall be marked as Exh. 'A' collectively for the purpose of identification. In view of the above, the criminal revision application stands disposed of.
