This is the second bail application preferred by the applicant. The first bail application of the applicant was rejected on merits by this Court vide order dated 7th July 2017, passed in Bail Application No.1854 of 2016.

Learned APP states that the trial of the applicant has commenced and till date 7 witnesses have been examined in the present case and that the prosecution intends to examine 5 more witnesses, which includes 3 police officers. He submits that the next date in the trial Court is tomorrow i.e. 15th September 2021.

In view of the aforesaid, it would not be proper to consider the aforesaid application for bail, at this stage. 4.

Learned Counsel for the applicant requests that the trial of the applicant be expedited, since the applicant/accused is in custody since 2014. 5.

Since the trial has already commenced, it will be appropriate to direct the learned Judge to conclude the trial as expeditiously as possible. 6.

Considering that the applicant/accused are in custody for more than 6 years, the trial of the applicant is expedited. The learned Judge to conclude the case, as expeditiously as possible, and in any event within 6 months from the date of receipt of this order. 7.

The applicant to place the aforesaid order before the learned Special Judge, Pune (MCOCA), Shivajinagar, Pune, seized of the said case being Spl. MCOCA Case No.8 of 2014, so as to enable him to conduct the case expeditiously.

Registry to also communicate the above order to the learned Special Judge, Pune (MCOCA), Shivajinagar, Pune, who is seized of the said case being Spl. MCOCA Case No.8 of 2014, by Fax/e-mail/a Special Messenger.

Application is accordingly disposed of, on the aforesaid terms. 10.
