By this petition, the Petitioner is seeking direction to Respondent No. 3, 4 and 5 to transfer himself from Kolhapur Central Prison to Kannur Central Prison, Kerala. Thus, the Inter-State Prison transfer is claimed. In such a case, the consent/permission of the prison authority of the State in which the Petitioner wants to transfer himself is necessary. Learned Counsel appearing for the Petitioner does not dispute that such consent/permission is rejected by the Prison Department of the State of Kerala. In this backdrop of the matter, we cannot consider the prayer made in the petition. Hence, writ petition is dismissed.
