This application seeks condonation of delay of 7 years and 126 days in filing the appeal. The Appellant is convicted inter alia under section 302 of the Indian Penal Code and sentenced to undergo imprisonment for life. The Applicant has given reasons for delay in the application. She has stated that she has two minor daughters and she is in custody.

Considering the facts and circumstances we are of the opinion that lenient view needs to be taken in this case and delay needs to be condoned. Accordingly, delay in filing the appeal is condoned.
