The Petitioner claims to be the person affected by project [Project : Bhama Askhed Dam] and is seeking directions to the Respondents to allot him alternate land.

The record reveals that on 30th July 2013, the Petitioner made an application to the District Resettlement Officer - Respondent No. 4 herein for allotment of alternate land. Mr. Sagare, the learned AGP is not in a position to inform the Court whether this application is decided or not.

In above circumstances, we deem it convenient to dispose of this writ petition, by directing Respondent No.4 to decide the Petitioner's said representation for allotment of alternate land as expeditiously as possible and at any rate within the period of 12 weeks patilsr 1 / 2

from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. Ordered accordingly. 2.

In order to enable Respondent No.4 to comply with this order, the Petitioner shall remain present before Respondent No.4 with a copy of the said representation and copy of this order on 5th March 2018.

It is clarified that this Court has not gone into merits of the matter and the Petitioner's claim shall be decided independently, on its own merits and strictly in accordance with law. 4.

Writ petition stands disposed of.
