The grievance of the Writ Petitioner is that inspite of three posts of Associate Professors in the National Centre for Nanoscience and Nanotechnology with the University of Mumbai being available and were notified to be filled up, notwithstanding he being at serial no.3 of the Select Panel, letter of appointment was not issued to him. Appointment was restricted to only two posts.

During the pendency of the Writ Petition the Petitioner was offered appointment to the post as stated by the Petitioner's counsel.

Thus, the Writ Petition is disposed of as infructuous and therefore, not pressed.
