Since alternate prayer has been sought by the Petitioners and it is limited in nature, we are inclined to allow the petition only to that extent. The petition is allowed in terms of amended prayer clause (a1).

Respondent No.3 is directed to verify the Reservation Roster of Petitioner No.2 Institution in terms of its application, which has been received by the office of the Divisional Commissioner, Backward Class, Pune Division, Pune on 4 September 2018, in accordance with law and at the earliest and in any case within eight weeks from the date of order of this Court.
