This is an application for extension of time to furnish surety in accordance with order dated 20th March 2023. The sentence of imprisonment was suspended and applicant was directed to be released on bail by furnishing P.R.bond in the sum of Rs.50,000/- with one or more sureties in the like amount. Applicant was permitted to to be released on cash bail for six weeks.

Advocate for applicant submitted that on account of several reasons the applicant could not arrange surety within stipulated time. Hence MANISH SURESHRAO THATTE Date: 2023.06.28 14:41:13 +0530 MANISH SURESHRAO THATTE extension of four weeks may be granted.

Learned counsel for Respondent no.2 submitted that sufficient time 1/2

12-IA-2010-2023.doc was granted to applicant to furnish surety and he was permitted to be released on cash bail. Applicant ought to have made arrangements to furnish surety within stipulated period.

Considering the fact that surety could not be arranged by applicant on account of medical emergency, extension of four weeks time to furnish surety can be granted.

ORDER

(i) Time to furnish surety in accordance with order dated 20th March 2023 passed by this Court in Interim Application No.201 of 2023 is extended by a period of four weeks from today and consequently facility of cash bail granted by this Court is extended by four weeks from today; (ii) Interim Application No.2010 of 2023 is disposed off.
