In the affidavits that are filed in this matter, we have noted that the Maharashtra State Road Development Corporation ("MSRDC") has taken care to provide medical aid. The medical aid to the needy victims and those seriously injured is being provided, according to Mr. Patil, on strategic locations on a very busy road under the control of the MSRDC. That road is the Mumbai-Pune Express Highway. 2.

On our suggestion, Mr. Patil has agreed to consider providing such facilities on other roads under the control of the MSRDC even within the City limits. One finds that the Bandra-

suresh 905-PIL-101.2011.doc Worli Sea Link is a bridge assisting and aiding the smooth movement of traffic between the City and the Western Suburbs and particularly leading to the highway (Mumbai-Ahmedabad). Since the traffic movement is heavy and this Link leads to the domestic and the international airports, there is possibility of accidents and the casualties in such accidents could be huge on occasions, particularly when the speed limits are violated brazenly. In the circumstances, on both ends of the BandraWorli Sea Link there should be provision for emergent medical aid and even a trauma centre. Let that possibility be explored, and with the assistance of non-governmental organisations or agencies like the Rotary Club and Lions International such provision be made. Mr. Patil has agreed to consider these suggestions.

We do not think that this PIL can be entertained and kept pending endlessly so that the State and the MSRDC provide the afore-noted facilities on every road within and outside the City limits under its control. The PIL is, therefore, disposed of.
