By this writ petition, the Petitioners are seeking to quash the charge-sheet being charge-sheet No.3 of 2013. The allegations levelled against the Petitioners are for the offences punishable under sections 406 and 498A of the Indian Penal Code, 1860 as well as for the offence punishable under sections 3 and 4 of the Dowry Prohibition Act. Learned Counsel appearing for the Petitioners does not dispute that the charges have already been framed by the learned trial Court. In this fact situation, we are not inclined to entertain the writ petition and the same is accordingly dismissed.

Mr. Tiwari submitted that charges were framed as back as in the year 2003 but trial could not proceed further as the Complainant is not coming forward to give evidence. He, therefore, sought directions for expeditious disposal of the case and exemption from personal appearance. The Petitioners may apply before the Court below for exemption from personal appearance. The trial Court shall consider such application sympathetically. The learned trial Court shall endeavour for expeditious disposal of the case.
