By this petition sent through jail, the petitioner seeks expeditious disposal of his case, since he is in custody since 2013. 2.
Learned APP states that the case has commenced and only 4 witnesses are left to be examined.

Since the case is of the year 2013 and the petitioner is in custody since then i.e. for about 11 years, we deem it appropriate to direct the learned District Judge-2, District and Additional Sessions Court, Kalyan, before whom the case is pending i.e. Sessions Case No.246 of 2016, to conclude the same, as expeditiously as possible, and in any event within four months from the date of receipt of this order.

Registry to forthwith communicate the order passed today either telephonically/fax/e-mail/a Special Messenger to the learned District Judge-2, District and Additional Sessions Court, Kalyan, who is seized with the case i.e. Sessions Case No.246 of 2016, so as to enable him to comply with the said order.

A copy of the aforesaid order also be forwarded to the Superintendent, Kalyan District Prison, Thane, so as to enable the Superintendent to hand over a copy of the aforesaid order to the petitioner, who is lodged in the aforesaid jail. 2/3

Petition is accordingly disposed of on the aforesaid terms. 7.
In view of the disposal of the writ petition, nothing survives for consideration in Interim Application being Interim Application No.1262 of 2024. The same is also disposed of accordingly.
