Heard learned counsel for the petitioner, learned counsel for respondent No.3 and learned APP for the State. 2.

This petition for Habeas Corpus is filed by the petitioner for seeking directions to respondent Nos.1 to 4 to produce minor girl Kumari Karuna before this Court. The minor girl was accordingly produced before us on 6th October, 2015 and she has stated that she is happy in Rescue Foundation. She is taking vocational course and studying in standard Tenth. The petitioner, father of Kumari Karuna, has stated that if his daughter is happy in the Rescue Home, he has no objection if she stays there.

This petition however was not disposed of and was adjourned to ascertain as to with whom the original receipt of fixed deposit is lying and accordingly we directed the investigating officer to file report.

Mr.K.D.Kolhe, Police Inspector, Aarey police station, Mumbai has filed report dated 31st January, 2016. The report shows that amount of Rs.3,00,000/- has been approved to Kumarui Karuna by the District Women and Child Welfare Officer, Mumbai and that an amount of Rs.2,25,000/- has been deposited in the fixed deposit in the name of Kumari Karuna in Union Bank of India, Goregaon Branch, Mumbai and the receipt of the fixed deposit is lying in the bank. The balance amount of Rs.75,000/- is kept in Kumari Karuna's bank account No.33900. In support of the report, a bank statement is annexed. The report is taken on record. Learned APP is directed to give a copy of this report to learned counsel for the Child Welfare Committee within a period of one week from today.

In the circumstances, nothing survives for consideration in the petition. The petition is accordingly disposed.
