The Petitioner by way of filing this Writ Petition has prayed for the following reliefs :- (A) Give directions to the Respondent to follow the Maharashtra Prison Manual and Prison Act 1894 strictly including prison routines.

(B) Give directions to stop illegal closing of prisoners in Maharashtra from 12 N to 3 pm imediately.

Timings of the jail are regulated by the Jail Manual. The authorities have no discretion but to follow the provisions of the said Manual. We are unable to accede to the prayer of the Petitioner.
