Though the Petitioner has sought a prayer to direct Respondent No.1 to decide the representation of the Petitioner, we have to note the facts of the case before proceeding to pass such a direction. It also have to be seen as to what is the nature of relief sought for by the Petitioner and for what purpose the representation was made.

rsk 2 23-aswp186-2022.doc is calling upon this Court to direct Respondent No.1 to decide, is relating to the Petitioner's inclusion in the select list of the year 2008-2009 and, thereafter, for non grant of appointment. The life of the select list is limited. The Petitioner's selection was of the year 2008-2009 and in the year 2022 such a direction cannot be issued, though the learned counsel for the Petitioner stated that there are vacancies. Vacancies will have to be filled in as per law and the Petitioner may participate in the fresh selection process if the Petitioner is eligible. Since the ultimate relief cannot be granted, we are not inclined to direct Respondent No.1 to decide the representation of the Petitioner as prayed for. 4.

Writ Petition is rejected.
