Heard the learned Counsel for the parties.

By an order dated 5 April 2024 the applicant was directed to be released on bail.

Learned Counsel for the Applicant submitted that the applicant could not furnish local sureties and, therefore, he is still languishing in jail. Learned Counsel seeks leave to furnish cash security in lieu of surety. 4.

Since the applicant was allegedly absconding for almost 20 years, the Court has imposed condition to furnish local surety. The prayer for cash security, therefore, does not deserve to be entertained. However, as the applicant could not avail the bail order for over a month, the condition to furnish local surety stands SSP 1/2

959 ia 1998 of 2024.doc relaxed. Rest of the conditions in the order dated 5 April 2024 shall continue to operate.
