By this petition, the Petitioner is seeking to be released on emergency (Covid-19) parole. The Petitioner has sought this relief in view of Rule 19(1)(c) of the Maharashtra Prisons (Bombay Furlough and Parole) Rules, 1959 as amended. By Government Resolution dated 4 May 2022, the policy of being released on emergency (Covid-19) parole is discontinued and those who have been released earlier have been directed to return back to the respective prison. In light thereof, the relief sought for by the Petitioner cannot be granted.

Writ petition is accordingly disposed of.
