The petition is filed seeking directions to transfer the investigation of CR. No. 64 of 2016 registered with Mahim Police Station to Crime Branch, CID, Mumbai. Learned APP makes a statement that the said CR is already investigated and the chargesheet is also filed before the Court much prior to the filing of this writ petition.

In above circumstances, we cannot accede to the request of Petitioner. Petition is, therefore, dismissed. The Petitioner is, however, at liberty to persuade the APP / concerned Police Station for making an application for further investigation under section 173(8) of the Code of Criminal Procedure, 1908.
