The petitioner preferred an application for parole on 29th June, 2015 on the ground of illness of his mother. The said application was rejected. Thereafter, this Court granted parole to the petitioner by order dated 5th May, 2017. Pursuant to the said order, the petitioner was released on parole on 22nd May, 2017 for a period of 30 days. The petitioner is now seeking extension of parole by a further period of 30 days. The medical papers show that, the mother of the petitioner requires surgery for Hernia. However, the operation could not be performed on account of medical complications. Now, the operation is scheduled on 28th June, 2017. In this view of the matter, on humanitarian ground, as a last chance, we are inclined to extend the period of parole for a further period of 30 days. Ordered accordingly.
