The applicant/appellant has preferred these applications for suspension of sentence and releasing the applicant on bail during the pendency of the appeal. 2.
The applicant has been convicted for the offences punishable under Section 509 of Indian Penal Code and Section 12 of Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act, 2012 and sentenced to suffer simple imprisonment for six months and pay fine of Rs.7,000/-, on the first count, and rigours imprisonment for six months and pay fine of Rs.10,000/-, on the second count, with default stipulation, 1/2
920-CRIAPPLN807&808-19.DOC by the designated Court, Greater Bombay, by the judgment and order dated 19th March, 2019. The learned Counsel for the applicant - appellant submits that the applicant was on bail during the pendency of the trial. There are good chances of success in the appeal. Hence, the applicant be released on bail by suspending the sentence imposed by the designated Court.

Having regard to the nature of the offences, the quantum of punishment imposed upon the applicant and the situation in life of the applicant, the substantive sentence imposed upon the applicant by the impugned judgment and order dated 19th March, 2019, is hereby suspended during the pendency of this appeal and the applicant be released on bail on furnishing a PR Bond of Rs.15,000/- with a surety in the like amount.

The applicant shall attend the proceeding of the appeal. 5.
The applications stand disposed of.
