The Petitioners have sought the following reliefs: "(a) This Hon'ble Court be pleased to exercise powers vested in it under Article 226 of the Constitution of India and issue a writ of Mandamus and/or Writ of nature of Mandamus, order and direction directing Respondent Nos. 2 to consider the claim of the Petitioners promoting them the post of Extension Officer (Education) in Zilla Parishad, Nashik by following due process of law."

Such Writ of Mandamus directing that the Petitioners be promoted without reference to all necessary facts cannot be issued. However, we note that the Petitioners have made representation to the Respondent - Zilla Parishad. Since the representation is made, the Zilla Parishad would take the decision thereupon as per law. As to what decision is to be taken, we leave it to the Zilla Parishad to take up as per law. 4.
