This is an application received from jail for expeditious hearing of Sessions Case No. 818 of 2014 arising from C.R.No.363 of 2014 for offences punishable under Section 306, 323, 498A IPC , pending before the Sessions Court, Mumbai.

The learned APP has placed on record report which indicats that the applicant herein is in custody since 19.9.2014. The charge had been framed in the said case on 7.11.2015 and that the witnesses are already summoned. The learned APP has submitted that in all pps

2 appln 363-15.doc 16 witnesses would be examined. Since the case is comparatively new, and the trial has already commenced, I do not deem it fit to issue any directions to dispose of the case in any time frame. Needless to state, that the learned Judge will make every possible endeavor to dispose of the case as expeditiously as possible. Application is accordingly disposed of.

Copy of this order be furnished to the applicant through the Superintendent of jail.

4.

Fees quantified at Rs.1000/- be paid to the advocate appointed, within one month.
