Heard the learned Counsel for the parties.

The Petitioners are stated to be the members of Respondent No.6-Co-operative Housing Society, the agriculturists from Vairag Taluka, District Solapur. Petitioners have also stated that they have borrowed certain amounts from Lokmangal Co-operative Bank for which they have mortgaged their agricultural lands. According to the Petitioners, they have been deceived in taking these loans for which the Respondent No.5 is

2/3 instrumental. They have made representations/complaints to the Collector, Solapur on 17 December 2022, copies of which are forwarded to all from the Chief Minister to the Assistant Director of Co-operative Societies. In this representation, they have given details of their grievance.

Learned Counsel for the Petitioner states that the Collector has not taken any decision or action on their representation. Learned Counsel for Respondent No.5 states that not only the Collector but other Authorities have held inquiries on the grievance mentioned by the Petitioners in the representation and reports have been submitted. According to the learned Counsel for the Respondent No.5, there is nothing adverse against Respondent No.5. Learned Counsel for Respondent No.5 states that the Collector may be called upon for informing the outcome. 4.

According to us, since a representation is made to the Collector by the Petitioners, same should be dealt with, like any other representation made by any citizen to the Collector. 5.

The Collector thus will deal with the representation, as per usual procedure alongwith the report called for by the

3/3 Collector in respect of the allegations made against Respondent No.5. It is thereafter open to the Collector to take such decision or action as the Collector may find fit in law and fact, and the circumstances.
