This is an application for expeditious hearing of Criminal Appeal No. 812 of 2013 preferred by the applicant.

The learned counsel for the applicant pointed out that by the order dated 5th December, 2013, it was directed that the Appeal be added to the Final Hearing Board from 13th January, 2014. However, despite this order, the matter is not shown in the Final Hearing Board. She further pointed out

9.APPA759_2016 that by order dated 22nd September, 2015, the hearing of the Appeal was expedited and it was directed that the Appeal be placed on the Final Hearing Board in the week commencing from 30th November, 2015. However, despite this order, the appeal is not shown on the Board. She further pointed out that applicant/appellant has been in custody for almost 7 years and hence, the hearing of the appeal be expedited. 4.

In view of the above facts, the hearing of the Appeal is expedited. The Appeal to be added in the Final Hearing Board in the week commencing from 1st August, 2016.
