The applicant was granted bail by this Court (Coram: Bharati Dangre, J.) vide order dated 16.6.2021. The main operative part reads thus :

"(b) Applicant - Mayur Ashok Agarwal shall be released on bail in C.R. No.11 of 2019 registered with E.O.W., G.C.3 on furnishing P.R. bond to the extent of Rs.50,000/- with one or two sureties of the like amount. The applicant is, however, granted time of six weeks to furnish the surety and by way of temporary bail,he is entitled to be released on cash bail for a period of six weeks."

This application is filed for two reliefs. First is for extension of cash bail for a period of eight weeks and for modification of words "one or two" to "one or more" sureties. 3.

Learned counsel for the applicant submits that because of COVID-19, the applicant was unable to procure the solvent sureties within the stipulated time.

Considering this submission, I am inclined to grant more time to furnish sureties. However, I am not convinced that the words "one or two" shall be modified to "one or more" sureties. The applicants will have to submit the solvent sureties as directed. Hence, the following order.

O R D E R

(i) The time to furnish sureties is extended by a period of eight weeks from today. It, therefore, naturally follows that the period for which the cash bail is valid is also extended by a period of eight weeks from today.
