DATED : 19th JULY, 2022 P.C:- By order dated 26/4/2022, the applicant was permitted to furnish provisional cash bail security for a period of 12 weeks in lieu of surety. His release in C.R.No. 355/2020 was subjected to execution of P.R. Bond in the sum of Rs.25,000/- with one or more sureties in the like amount. The applicant failed to comply with condition no.(ii), though he is released on bail by furnishing provisional cash bail security. On 28/6/2022, he bring out an application for extending the time.

The reason for inability to furnish the surety is projected to be of Pandemic and covid restrictions. I do not think that the applicant is entitled to take advantage of the pandemic for unlimited period of time, since the order was passed on 26/4/2021 and period of 12 weeks was granted to him to abide by the condition. However, by way of indulgence, since one last opportunity is afforded to the applicant to furnish sureties within a period of two weeks from today. In case there is a failure to abide by the said condition, the applicant shall be put back to judicial custody.

Application is disposed off.
