By this Petition, the petitioner challenges the award passed by the Special Land Acquisition Officer in the year 1986. Though the award of the year 1986 is challenged, the petition is filed in the year 2014. There is no explanation for the inordinate delay in filing the Writ Petition. The delay is not satisfactorily explained. The learned counsel for the petitioner states that the petitioner was not acquainted with the award of the year 1986. The petition suffers from latches and the same is liable to be dismissed.

12.WP7112_2014.doc The Writ Petition is dismissed as such, with no order as to costs. With the disposal of the Writ Petition, the Civil Application would not survive and stands disposed of.
