The above Petitions take exception to the order dated 20/6/2015 passed by the Licensing Authority i.e. the Assistant Commissioner of Police, Kalwa Division, Thane by which order the eating house registration certificate and the public entertainment licence for sale of liquor of the Petitioners abovenamed came to be cancelled. The cause for filing the above Petitions is that the applications for stay which have been filed by the Petitioners in the Appeals filed by them have lgc

wpst-17107.15&17110.15 not been considered and especially in view of the fact that the said order dated 20/6/2015 is given immediate effect.

In view of the fact that the Petitioners have filed the applications for stay and considering the fact that the Petitioners are also conducting their business since last many years, it would be just and proper to direct the concerned authority of the State Government which is the Appellate Authority i.e. the Principal Secretary, Appeals and Security to hear and decide the Appeals themselves within a particular time frame. The Appellate Authority is accordingly directed to hear and decide the Appeals latest by 31/8/2015. Till the Appeals are decided, the order dated 20/6/2015 passed by the Licensing Authority not to be given effect to. With the aforesaid directions, the above Writ Petitions are disposed of.
