The present applicant/accused who is a life convict had approached this Court by filing Criminal Application No. 499 of 2018 for temporary bail on the ground that his wife was admitted in the hospital on 14th April, 2018 for delivery of child. The records revealed that the applicants wife had delivered a child on 15th April, 2018. Hence, by order dated 23.04.2018, the Division Bench of this Court granted temporary bail for a period of one month. This period was extended by three weeks by a separate order dated 31st May, 2018 passed in Criminal Application No. 820 of 2018. Shubham

The applicant has once again approached this Court by filing the present application for extension of the temporary bail on the ground that his wife is having serious health issues and is admitted in the ICU.

We had directed the learned APP to take instructions and verify the medical reports of the applicant's wife. The learned APP has placed on record report dated 15.06.2018 by the Assistant Police Inspector, Nalasopara Police Station, Palghar along with the statement of Dr. Anurag Shukla and certificate from Life Care Charitable Hospital. Having regard to the report, the statement of Dr. Anurag Shukla and the certificate, we are inclined to extend the temporary bail for a further period of two weeks from today, on same terms and conditions as prescribed in the order dated 23rd April, 2018 passed in Criminal Application No. 499 of 2018. The applicant shall surrender before the concerned Jail Superintendent after expiry of two weeks period. The Criminal application is disposed of.
