The petitioner has filed this writ petition, seeking a writ of habeas corpus for direction to the respondents to produce his wifePradnya Balasaheb Salve, who is allegedly illegally detained by respondent Nos.3 to 6. This Court issued notice on 22nd January, 2021. Pursuant to issuance of notice, said Pradnya Balasaheb Salve has been produced before us by W.P.C. 2580-Ms.S.R.Lonari attached to City Nashik Road Police Station, Nashik. We interacted with her and asked her as to what she has to say.

She has stated that she was not in illegal detention and that she was cheated into marrying with the petitioner. She further stated that she does not wish to accompany the petitioner. M.M.Salgaonkar

In view of the fact that said Pradnya Balasaheb Salve is admittedly a major and she has clearly stated before us that she does not wish to accompany the petitioner, as also the fact that pursuant to the issuance of notice, she has been produced before this Court, nothing survives in the present writ petition. Accordingly, the writ petition stands disposed of.

The petitioner voluntarily states that he will return all the documents of the said Pradnya Balasaheb Salve, including her Aadhar Card to her.
