The petitioner claims that petitioner is running Mahalaxmi Kala Krida Mandal. It is a society duly formed and registered under the provisions of the Societies Registration Act, 1860. 2.

The grievance of the petitioner is that the police visits the place of the petitioner and unnecessarily interferes into the day to day functioning. According to the petitioner, it is carrying out activities which are permissible in law.

We observe that as long as the petitioner carries activities which are permissible in law, there is no reason for the police to cause any interference in its day to day functioning, but in case it is noticed that petitioner - society is indulging into any activities, which are prohibited in law, then the police or any other agency is entitled to take steps in accordance with law.
