The contempt alleged is of the order dated 5 November

skn 2 32-CP-485.2022--.doc 2019 whereby the Deputy Collector (Resettlement) was directed to examine the cases of the Petitioners with a view to ascertain whether they are entitled to allotment of land and, if they are entitled, to proceed further as directed. Since this was not done, present contempt petitions were filed.

The learned AGP, on instructions, states that the concerned Deputy Collector has passed the order in favour of the Petitioners allotting them the lands. The learned counsel for the Petitioners confirms this position. In light of the same, we do not intend to proceed further in the contempt jurisdiction. Since now the order is stated to have been passed, it is expected that the Respondents will take it to the logical end, at the earliest. 4.
