This application is filed for restoration of the writ petition which was disposed of on 23 March 2005. The application for restoration is filed on 8 May 2023.

The petition is filed seeking appointment on compassionate basis in respect of death of the Petitioner's father on 30 September 1999. The application itself was made after three years. Even after the writ petition is dismissed, the application for restoration is filed

Trupti 2 15-IA-15402-2023.doc almost after 18 years. The application has remained pending and when it is called out, a request is made on behalf of the Applicant for adjournment.

We have to keep in mind that the object of the compassionate appointment which is not a vested right. Effectively the compassionate appointment is sought in respect of death of the Petitioner's father which occurred in the year 1999. In these circumstances, even if the application is allowed and the petition is taken up for consideration, there is no merit in this writ petition. 4.

Interim application is accordingly rejected.
