When today the matter was taken up for hearing, the learned counsel appearing for the Petitioner-Union submitted that neither the office bearers of the Petitioner-Union nor the aggrieved employees are in contact with him and there are no instructions either from the Union or from the aggrieved workers and in the circumstances, he is unable to work out the matter. Record shows that the present Petition is pending since last 16 years. There is every reason to believe that the Petitioner-Union has lost interest in prosecuting the matter further and that may be the reason that the Union has not contacted the counsel and no instructions are given to the learned counsel. In the circumstances, the Writ Petition stands dismissed. If any such occasion arises, the Petitioner shall have liberty to move this Court again.
