Pursuant to the order dated 18th March 2024, the learned counsel for the petitioner has filed an affidavit of service indicating that respondent no.2 has been duly served with a copy of the writ petition. Despite that there is no appearance on behalf of respondent no.2. 2.

It is the case of the petitioner that a resident Institution that was operating in Taluka Patoda, District Beed had been closed down and hence it had made an application seeking permission to run the said Institution. By an order dated 28th August 2009, such permission was granted. The petitioner thereafter applied on 20th August 2019 to the District Social Welfare Officer, Zilla Parishad, Beed seeking approval to

ppn 2 58.wp-12804.23.doc the staff that was working. That proposal was forwarded to the District Social Welfare Officer, Zilla Parishad, Pune and the petitioner has been informed of the same. This is pursuant to the communication dated 14th December 2022. According to the petitioner, this proposal is still pending with the respondents.

In the aforesaid facts, the writ petition is disposed of by directing respondent no.2 to consider the proposal that was forwarded by the District Social Welfare Officer, Zilla Parishad, Beed to it on 14th December 2022. The decision on the said proposal be taken within six weeks of receiving copy of this order. The petitioner to communicate this order to respondent no.2. Parties to act on the authenticated copy of this order.
