1] By an Order dated 23rd June 2017, the applicant was granted interim relief.

2] It is the prosecution case in nutshell that, though the father of the applicant namely Ramesh Yadav expired on 14.3.2012, the applicant forged his signature and submitted an affidavit dated 2.2.2016 with the Rationing Authority and an independent ration card in his own name came to be issued. The record of investigation indicates that, the Rationing Officer after effecting the spot verification has issued the said rationing car in the name of the applicant. The investigation of the present crime is solely based on the documents which are already seized by the police. 1/2

aba.1076-2017.doc In view thereof, the custodial interrogation of the applicant for further investigation of the present crime is not necessary. 3] Interim relief granted by Order dated 23rd June 2017 is hereby confirmed. However, the condition to attend the Investigating Officer is waived.
