It is stated that the second respondent-Scrutiny Committee will decide the pending claim of the petitioner as expeditiously as possible and in any event, within a period of two weeks from today. The statement is accepted as an undertaking given to this court. 2.

Since the scrutiny and verification is to be done by the Scrutiny Committee, we expect respondent no. 3 not to terminate the services of the petitioner on the ground of non-production of the caste validity certificate. The third respondent, therefore, shall not take any disciplinary action only on this ground until the Scrutiny Committee decides the claim and passes its final orders. J.V.SALUNKE,PS
