Learned Counsel appearing for the Petitioner at the outset makes a statement that during the pendency of the petition, the Petitioner has been given pensionary benefits including the gratuity. He submits that the said benefits have been given after considerable delay and therefore the Petitioner is entitled for interest. He submitted that the Petitioner may be granted leave to withdraw the writ petition with liberty to file representation / application with Respondent No.1 for interest for the delayed payment of pensionary benefits. The learned Counsel appearing for the Respondents have no objection if this course is adopted. We, therefore, grant leave and liberty as patilsr 1 / 2

sought for by the Petitioner. Petition is allowed to be withdrawn and disposed of as such. In the event the Petitioner makes an application for interest within the period of two weeks from today, Respondent No.1 shall decide the same within six months from the date of receipt of such application.
