Perused the Application. The Applicant seeks a direction to the Respondent No.3 - Passport Authority should renew the passport of the Applicant because, according to the Applicant the Respondent No.3 has put the renewal on hold in view of the pendency of Criminal Writ Petition No. 3543 of 2019. Having considered the facts and circumstances, we clarify that pendency of the Criminal Writ Petition No. 3543 of 2019 will not come in the way of Respondent No.3 to renew the passport of the Applicant as per law.

Considering the fact that the Petition is pending, renewal shall be for a period of one year subject to further orders as that may be passed.

The Application is accordingly disposed of.
