After this Petition was argued at length as we were not inclined to grant relief in writ jurisdiction, Mr Singh agreed that the Petitioner will not insist on his girl child, Krithika Nadar, aged 7 years taking education in the 1st Respondent school. The 1st Respondent will issue a School Leaving Certificate. 19th June 2019

Mr Singh's only request is that the Education Officer should help the parent in finding out another school and within the vicinity of the place of residence.

The place of residence, according to Mr Singh, is Room No. 347, MP Nagar, SK Marg, Dhorwada Road, Dharavi, Mumb ai 400 017.

Let the Education Officer, Mr Mahesh Palkar, G/North Ward attend to the Petitioner and assist him in obtaining admission for Krithika Nadar in the nearest school. When we say nearest school, we mean a school within one kilometre walking distance from the home.

This order is passed in the presence of the Petitioner. 6.
The Petition is disposed of.
