Heard the learned counsel for the respective parties. 2.

By this petition, the petitioner is seeking direction to the Respondent No.2 Committee to decide the application for grant of Caste Validity Certificate as expeditiously as possible and within such time limit as this Court may deem fit and proper.

The petitioner is constrained to approach this Court as his employer/Respondent No.3 has given show-cause notice as to why his services should not be terminated for want of caste validity certificate. The petitioner's application for caste validity certificate was made to the AGP 1/2

907.WP.8975.19.odt Respondent No.2 Committee way back in the year 2009. It is unfortunate that the Respondent No.2 has not decided the said application since last 10 years.

Learned AGP, however, having received instructions, makes a solemn statement that the petitioner's application would be decided by the Respondent No.2 Committee as expeditiously as possible in any case within a period of two months from today. The statement is accepted as undertaking to this Court.

In the light of the said statement made by the learned AGP, the grievance raised in the petition stands redressed for the time being. 6.

We, accordingly, dispose off the petition with further direction that the Respondent No.3 shall not take coercive action against the petitioner on the ground of non-submission of the caste validity certificate for the period of three months from today.
