Considering the averments made, we are, at this stage, inclined to dispose of the present Petition by directing the Scrutiny Committee to decide the caste claim of the Petitioner which is pending since 2006, as early as, possible preferably within four months.

So far as the issue with regard the promotion is 1/2

dgm 2 21-wp-6599-14.sxw concerned, based upon the caste validity certificate, the Respondent/Authority to consider the same in accordance with law. It is made clear that we have not expressed anything on the merits of the matter.

The writ petition is disposed of in the above terms. Rule is disposed of accordingly.

There shall be no order as to costs.
