The writ petitions are filed in June 2018. The Petitioners have challenged the order passed by Respondent No. 2 - Pune Municipal Corporation dated 19 May 2016. By order dated 19 May 2016, the order of transfer dated 15 June 2015 in respect of the Petitioners were cancelled. These Petitions have remained pending since the year 2018. The transfers which were effected in favour of the Petitioners were almost 9 years ago. Several developments in law and legal positions have taken place thereafter. In these circumstances, we do not deem it necessary to keep these Petitions pending.
3. We leave it open to the Petitioners to make applications and if such applications are made, Respondent - Corporation will decide the same as per governing policies, rules and regulations. It is open to the Petitioners to annex such policies and judicial pronouncements as may be relevant to the Petitioners' case.
4.
Upon receipt of such applications, appropriate decisions as per law will be taken by Respondent - Authority within 8 weeks thereafter, subject to earlier time bound commitment. 5.
Writ petitions are disposed of.
