By the present petition, the Petitioner a foreign national, under trial prisoner in Special NDPS Case No.137 of 2017, has requested to grant her permission to contact her daughter on telephone staying in the country Bolivia.

Clause no.7 of the Circular dated 25th March 2022 issued by Additional Director General of Police and Inspector General of Prisons, Prisons, M.S, Pune, does not permit a foreign undertrial or convict to use coin box phone facility or phone facility for security reasons. In view thereof, the Petitioner is not entitled for the said facility.

In view of the above, we find that, request of the Petitioner cannot be acceded to.
