In Crime No. 62/2018 registered with Khopoli Police Station for offence punishable under Sections 143,147,148,149,323,324,427, 504 and 506 of the Indian Penal Code, applicants are seeking prearrest bail. An independent witness to the incident in question, an officer from the Department of Revenue was engaged for carrying out measurement pursuant to the outcome of the civil dispute between the parties, has stated that he has not witnessed the incident in question.
Apart from above, perusal of the injury report speaks of simple injury suffered by the victim. There are no criminal antecedents. In view thereof, Ad-interim protection granted to the applicants vide order dated 19/06/2018 is hereby confirmed.
