Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner, the learned counsel appearing for the first and second respondents, the learned counsel appearing for the third respondent and the learned AGP appearing for the fourth respondent.

The learned counsel appearing for the first and second respondents, on instructions states that the application for regularization made by the petitioner, a copy of which is annexed as Exhibit - 'D' to the petition is still pending.

In view of the said statement, we dispose of the petition by passing the following order :-

ORDER

i) We direct the first and the second respondents to decide the application for regularization within a period of eight weeks from today ;

ii) The order passed on the application be communicated to the petitioner.

iii) Till the date of communication of the said order, no action shall be taken on the basis of the impugned notices ; iv) If the order passed on the said application be adverse to the petitioner, the protection shall continue to operate for a period of one month from the date on which the order is communicated to the petitioner ;

3/3 v) All contentions on merits of the pending application are kept open.

The Petition is disposed of on above terms.
