After the writ petition is filed, the University has rejected the proposal of the petitioner for extension of age of superannuation. So also, the State Government has rejected the same. It would not be appropriate to permit the petitioner to amend the writ petition as the petition would be required to be substantially amended. Hence, at the request of the learned counsel for the petitioner, we permit the petitioner to withdraw the writ petition with liberty to file a fresh petition.
