By the present application, the applicant is seeking extension of time to furnish the sureties. The Applicant was admitted to default bail and he was also permitted to furnish cash bail in a sum of Rs.15,000/- for the period of six weeks. 2.

Today, an application is moved seeking extension of time for a reasonable period and prayer clause of the application reads as under:

VI in Criminal Application No.534 of 2021, passed by the Hon'ble court and thereby allow reasonable time to furnish surety before the trial court on such terms and conditions." The explanation of the said prayer is offered in paragraph 10 of the application where the Applicant states that due to pandemic, he could not furnish the solvent sureties though he is genuinely trying to furnish the same.

Applicant needs to be reminded it that the pandemic is now over and as far as the City of Mumbai is concerned, all the curbs and restrictions are lifted. The applicant is charged for the serious offences. He has availed his liberty subject to the stipulated condition imposed on him, but down the line as more than six weeks, he give an excuse pray for extension of the time limit for complying the condition of furnishing sureties. 4.

No extension can be granted on such vague ground that in spite of the best efforts, he is unable to furnish the surety. No further extension can be granted.
