The prayer of the Petitioner is that the Petitioner be sent to open prison.

After filing the present writ petition, the request of the Petitioner was considered by the competent committee and the same was rejected. This fact has been communicated by the Superintendent of Kolhapur Central Prison to the Registrar of this Court. Hence, the writ petition stands disposed of with liberty to the Petitioner to agitate his grievance before the appropriate forum.
